About Monilibrium

Why this app exists, who it's for, and how it stays free.

Typing it in is the point

Monilibrium never connects to your bank — and that's the method, not a missing feature. When you log what you spend, you stay intimately familiar with your money. Seeing what leaves your account, every day, is what makes you conscious of where it goes. The app shows you what's happening and guides you; changing how you spend is the part only you can do — and it's the part that changes everything.

It's how my wife and I got out of debt: every dollar we knew was truly safe to spend, we sent at the debt. Your safe number is yours for anything. But if you're carrying debt, point it there. Getting your money under control goes deeper than money — it's a different life, for you and for the people who come after you.

Who it's for

People who have tried budgeting apps before and quit. Monilibrium asks for one habit — log your flexible spending as it happens — and hands back one forward-looking number instead of a report on a month you can no longer change. There's no jargon to learn and no model of your money you have to fit yourself into.

How it's paid for

Free while in beta, and core budgeting will always be free — that's a promise, not a trial period. If paid plans ever exist, they'll add extras rather than paywall the essentials. No ads, and your plan is never sold, shared with partners, or used to train anything.
