Plain words for your money

Ten terms, no accounting degree required. The colored dots follow these ideas through the whole site — and the app.

Safe to Spendes: Cuánto Puedes Gastar

The one number the app exists to give you: how much you can use today without any future bill bouncing. It’s the gap between your lowest projected balance and zero.

Bucketes: Sobre

Money set aside for flexible spending — groceries, gas, fun — on whatever rhythm makes sense to you: weekly, per paycheck, monthly. It’s already set aside and already in the projection, so spending it doesn’t lower Safe to Spend.

Billes: Pago

Anything scheduled: rent, subscriptions, insurance. Bills can be fixed (exact amount) or estimated (your best guess, corrected later).

Paydayes: Día de cobro

Scheduled money in, on your real schedule — weekly, every other week, twice a month. Paydays raise the projection line, and a weekend payday can count on the last business day before it, the way most employers actually pay.

Projectiones: Proyección

Your paydays, bills, and buckets played forward into one continuous line — the picture of where your balance is going, months into the future.

Low-water markes: Punto más bajo

The lowest point your projected balance will reach. It’s the number that decides Safe to Spend: protect the dip and everything clears.

Planned vs. recordedes: Planeado vs. registrado

Planned is what you expect to happen; recorded is what actually did. Items that land exactly as planned become recorded on their own — the rest wait for your quick edit.

Reconcilees: Conciliar

Squaring the plan with reality when they differ — fixing the amount or date on an item that didn’t land exactly as planned. Items that match just record themselves.

Carry forwardes: Traspasar al siguiente periodo

What you can do with money left in a bucket at the end of its period: roll it into the next period instead of letting it free up.

Blueprint & instancees: Plantilla e instancia

The rule and the occurrence. “Rent, $950, the 1st” is the blueprint; “rent on March 1st” is one instance of it. Edit one occurrence or the whole rule — your choice.
